How to Create a TikTok Product Catalog for Your Store
Set up a TikTok catalog from a product feed so your products can appear in shopping ads and videos.
TikTok has become a place where people discover products โ "TikTok made me buy it" is a real shopping habit. A product catalog lets you connect your products to TikTok's ads and shopping features, so videos can lead straight to items you sell. Available features vary by country and account type, so check TikTok's current documentation for your market.
What you need
- A TikTok for Business account and access to TikTok's ads tools.
- A website or store where products can be bought.
- Product data: ID, title, description, price, availability, image, link, brand and condition.
Step 1: Create a catalog
In TikTok's ads platform, open the catalog management area and create a new ecommerce catalog. Choose your target country and currency carefully, because they affect where the catalog can be used.
Step 2: Add products
There are usually three ways:
- Manual entry โ fine for a handful of products.
- File upload โ a CSV or similar file with your products.
- Scheduled data feed โ a URL TikTok fetches automatically, keeping price and stock up to date. The best option for most stores.
Platform integrations from some ecommerce systems can also sync products directly.
Step 3: Prepare a clean feed
- Use the same product IDs as your website and other channels.
- Write clear titles with product type and key attributes.
- Use high-quality images; vertical or square images often look better on TikTok.
- Keep price and availability accurate.
If you already have a Google or Facebook feed, you can usually adapt it rather than starting again. The multi-channel feed generator creates feeds for several platforms from one source. Read one product feed for multiple channels.
Step 4: Connect tracking
Install TikTok's pixel or events tracking on your website so the catalog's products are matched to views, add-to-carts and purchases. This is needed for many catalog-based ad formats.
Step 5: Use the catalog
- Run catalog-based shopping ads that show products to interested viewers.
- Retarget visitors with the products they viewed.
- Where available, tag products in organic videos.

A worked example
A US skincare brand already had a Facebook catalog feed. It reused the same feed for TikTok with taller product images and shorter titles, scheduled it to update daily, and launched catalog ads to people who had watched its product videos. Sales from TikTok became measurable for the first time, and the brand could see which products performed best there.
