Advertising Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Why there are ads

Every SeoSpidie tool is free, with no sign-up and no paywall. Advertising pays for the servers and the work behind them. Ads are shown by Google AdSense; we don’t sell ad space directly and we don’t share any information about you with advertisers.

How ads are shown

  • Ad units placed by us are marked “Advertisement” and kept separate from tool results, buttons and downloads, so an ad is never mistaken for part of a tool.
  • Google may also place ads automatically (for example banners at the side or bottom of the screen). These follow Google’s own placement rules and are marked by Google.
  • We don’t use pop-ups, pop-unders or ads that block the content.
  • There are no ads on pages without real content, such as error pages.
  • We never ask you to click ads, and we don’t click our own ads or use anything that creates artificial clicks or views.

Your consent and personalisation choices

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, you’re asked for consent through Google’s consent message before any advertising cookies are used, and you can accept, refuse or customise your choices. Elsewhere, Google may show personalised ads based on your interests unless you turn them off. Either way, you can change your choice at any time with the Privacy & cookie settings link (in the footer of every page) or at Google Ad Settings. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Editorial independence

Ads never influence our tools or articles. Tool results come only from the page that was checked, and no one can pay to change a score, a ranking or a recommendation. If we ever publish sponsored content or affiliate links, they will be clearly labelled as such.

Ad content

Google chooses which ads appear, within its advertising policies. An ad on SeoSpidie isn’t an endorsement of the advertiser. If you see an ad that seems misleading, offensive or inappropriate, please tell us (a screenshot or the advertiser’s name helps) and we’ll block it where we can. You can also report it to Google using the “AdChoices” icon on the ad.

Children

SeoSpidie is meant for website owners and marketers and isn’t directed at children, so ads here aren’t aimed at children.
